Breakfast in i + Land Nagasaki
Restaurant/places to eat in i + Land Nagasaki
i + Land Nagasaki
Large, elongated resort with several two-storey apartment buildings, two hotels, indoor swimming pools (sandy beach outside the resort) and several restaurants on an island connected to the mainland by a bridge, 45 minutes by bus from Nagasaki Main Station (free shuttle bus and public bus (line 30) for 610 yen, both several times a day), or about 30 minutes by car. Airport shuttle from Nagasaki Main Station to Nagasaki Airport every 20 minutes for 1200 yen (cab very expensive!). The resort is geared towards families with children and dog owners. Very quiet, but a little out of the way. You can explore the island on free bicycles. We had a nice spacious room in one of the apartment buildings (first floor) with a large terrace right by the sea, a large bathroom, very comfortable European-style beds, two Japanese-style futon sofas set into the floor in front of the TV and a desk. We had booked breakfast included (very good buffet), but not half board (dinner), which was a mistake as the only "a la carte" restaurant was at the very end of the resort 1.5 km away and you may not get a table reserved for the (very rich) Japanese 5-course menu (25 EUR per person) in the restaurant near the apartment without advance reservation. The buffet dinner in the nearby hotel costs 50 EUR per person, and it is a long way to Nagasaki for dinner! Very friendly staff, almost exclusively Japanese guests, therefore sometimes communication problems.

*This was a resort with good facilities as well as peaceful and beautiful environment away from tourist crowd. It was idea for relax and refreshment. *Room was spacious, modern, spotless clean, very quiet and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean view. Bathroom was large with powered shower. *Breakfast was tasty with a lot of choices. Dinner was very delicious and good in quality. *Hotel staff were very nice and initiative especially the Nepalese staff of reception counter and restaurants. I was ill during my stay. However, it was lucky that two of the restaurant staff of Garden Area, initiatively gave their helping hand when I was in need. They were so caring and thoughtful. They even prepare suitable food for me to take in my room. Great thanks to the help of the two male staff, one Nepalese (senior restaurant staff) and one Bengali. * We have memorable stay here.

What a perfect little slice of outdoor heaven in Nagasaki! From the moment we arrived, staff was nothing but over-the-top helpful. They bent over backward for the entirety of our stay to make sure our family was comfortable and felt taken care of - from hand-delivering towels, calling us transit, even packaging up a special breakfast treat for our daughter to-go. The property was very well-maintained, with the bikes and play area being huge draws for our young family. The Arkland Spa was a great place to play in the water (the water temperature was excellent, even during winter) and we truly loved the Island Lumina experience. We enjoyed western breakfast at The Terrace very much and would recommend it over the Japanese option for both breakfast and dinner.

Extremely clean room. We loved the design. Everything looked really new when we were there. The balcony was gorgeous with superior sea view. The breakfast and dinner were great. The staff even offered different set dinner for us when they knew that we stayed there for 2 nights. Free parking was included and the hot spring was nice. We could reserve family room for the hot spring. The room was spacious and tidy. There was a beach nearby. Shutter bus service was provided. The overall experience was terrific. We would definitely highly recommend this hotel to others.

An incredible place—I regret that we stayed here for only one night. I would happily come back for a week or two. This hotel is perfect for a family getaway. There are several hot springs, including private ones where the whole family can relax together. Plenty of cozy spots for rest and relaxation, as well as play areas for kids. Don’t make the same mistake we did—stay for more than just one night!
